Hieroglyphics Translator
Translate English letters into Egyptian hieroglyphic symbols using Unicode characters. Each Latin letter maps to a corresponding hieroglyph, giving your text an ancient Egyptian aesthetic.
About Hieroglyphics Translator
Ancient Egyptian hieroglyphics were one of the world's first writing systems, developed around 3200 BCE and used for over 3,000 years. They combined logographic (symbol-for-word) and phonetic (symbol-for-sound) elements, making them a rich and complex writing system.
Our translator maps each letter of the English alphabet to a corresponding Unicode hieroglyph character. Note: This is a phonetic approximation, not true Egyptian hieroglyphic writing — real hieroglyphics didn't work like a simple alphabet. Think of this as an aesthetic transliteration rather than accurate translation.
The hieroglyph characters we use are part of the Unicode Egyptian Hieroglyphs block (U+13000–U+1342F), which contains over 1,000 authentic hieroglyphic symbols. Because they're Unicode characters (not images), they work everywhere: social media, messaging apps, documents.
Use hieroglyphics text for: Instagram bios with an ancient mystery vibe, Discord gaming usernames, fantasy writing, D&D campaigns, museum-themed content, or just for fun. Keep in mind that on some older devices, these less-common Unicode characters may not display.
