The Numbers Go to Fifty
The circled family is bigger than its alphabet. Alongside Ⓐ-Ⓩ and ⓐ-ⓩ, Unicode carries an entire run of circled numbers — and it does not stop at nine. The set runs ① through ⑳ in the original block, then continues ㉑ all the way to ㊿ (yes, circled fifty is a single character, U+32BF). The long tail exists because Japanese typography genuinely uses high circled numbers — list items, seat maps, footnotes — and the standard encoded what the print tradition already used.
For styling, that means bubble text is the rare style with a full numeric wardrobe: dates, jersey numbers and counts can match a circled name where most fancy alphabets leave digits plain. A birthday bio can be circled end to end.
One Style, Two Finishes
The circled look ships in two finishes on this site. This page's outlined characters — dark letter, transparent circle — are the classic bubble, the most widely supported and the softest read. The filled-bubble style inverts them: light letters knocked out of solid discs (🅐, 🅑), a bolder, sticker-like cut from a supplementary block with slightly patchier support on old devices.
