The gap comes from where the letters live. ℱ (F, U+2131), ℴ (o, U+2134), ℯ (e, U+212F) and ℯ (e, U+212F) come from Letterlike Symbols, an older and much smaller corner of Unicode. Forever's other 3 live past U+1D400 in the Mathematical Alphanumeric Supplement. The split is deliberate: eleven script letters already existed when that block was drawn up, so their slots were left empty rather than duplicated.

On paper the character of Forever comes from the strokes that break the x-height line: f reaches above the top line, f drops below the baseline and o and v finish high, so the join into the next letter comes down from above. The pasted version can't reproduce any of it: each glyph is a finished shape, so the letters abut instead of joining.
